Hi Mark,
I celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year last month. I had lots of fun. My whole family joined in the celebration. My grandma made lots of yummy sweets. I made milk rice with my mom, and I had lots of fun playing traditional games with my cousins.

Bye for now!

Hi,

You said you want to know about an event that we celebrate. We celebrate Vesak Poya every year in the month of May. It's about the Lord Buddha's birth, enlightenment and his passing away. It is a colorful event. Vesak Poya is the most important day for all Buddhists. Please come to Sri Lanka before the Poya next time.

See you soon!

Hello Mark,
The important festival we celebrate is Vesak. It is in every May. It is the birth, enlightment and passing away of Lord Budda. By making lanterns, putting up pandols and observing religion we celebrate it. I wish you can join next year.
